User License Agreement

Subject to your compliance with this User License Agreement ("Agreement"),The Red Thread grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use The Red Thread Service ("Service") for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the Service or any part thereof
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Rent, lease, lend, sell, or sublicense the Service
• Use the Service to develop competing products or services
• Remove any proprietary notices or labels from the Service
• Use the Service in violation of applicable laws
• Access the Service through unauthorized means or automation

Your Ownership: You retain all ownership rights to the content you create, upload, or share through the Service ("Your Content"). This includes memories, photos, documents, and other materials.

License to Us: By uploading Your Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

• Store and backup Your Content on our servers
• Display Your Content to you and your authorized collaborators
• Process Your Content using AI services for translation and analysis
• Create thumbnails and previews of Your Content
• Transmit Your Content as necessary to provide the Service

This license is limited to what is necessary to operate the Service and does not grant us rights to sell, sublicense, or use Your Content for any other purpose.

When you share content with collaborators or contribute to shared timelines:

• Other collaborators may view, copy, and share that content
• You grant collaborators a license to use your contributions within the timeline
• Timeline owners may export or backup content including your contributions
• Removing yourself as a collaborator does not automatically remove your contributions

You should only share content you have the right to share and are comfortable others may retain.

Our Property: The Service, including its design, features, code, and documentation, is owned by The Red Thread and protected by intellectual property laws. This Agreement does not transfer any ownership to you.

Trademarks: "The Red Thread" name, logo, and related marks are trademarks of The Red Thread. You may not use these without prior written permission.

The Service may contain content from third parties, including:

• Content shared by other users and collaborators
• AI-generated translations and suggestions
• Historical context and reference information
• Links to external websites and resources

We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of third-party content. You access such content at your own risk.

We respect intellectual property rights and expect users to do the same. If you believe content on our Service infringes your copyright, please contact our designated DMCA agent:

Please include:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
2. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing
3. Your contact information
4. A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized

This license is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically if:

• You violate any term of this Agreement
• You delete your account
• We discontinue the Service
• We terminate your access for any reason

Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE RED THREAD BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Red Thread from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of this Agreement
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Your Content uploaded to the Service

Entire Agreement: This Agreement, together with our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and us.

Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.

Assignment: You may not assign this Agreement. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
